Joseph E. Bond is an associate attorney with Cunningham, Vogel & Rost, P.C. He represents the firm’s municipal clients in public utility law and general municipal issues and, as an attorney at the firm, has served as a municipal hearing officer. Joe has served as the appointed City Attorney of St. James, Missouri.


Joe received his B.A. in History, with high honors, from the University of Kansas, where he was a member of the Honors Program. Joe earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he also served as the President of the Student Bar Association.


Prior to joining the firm, Joe was actively involved with environmental advocates working toward additional protections for the Mahomet Aquifer in Central Illinois, for remediation of PFOA/PFOS located in military bases in Central Illinois, and in surety bond issues regarding coal company bankruptcies throughout Illinois. He also served as a law clerk for the City of Champaign, Illinois.
